History
Dixon Engineering & Sales Co. was founded by John Dixon in 1973. Dixon, who spent nearly 35 years as director of engineering with an industrial automation company, was looking for something new to occupy his time and decided to start a consulting company using a two-prong approach of engineering and sales.
Ten years later, John’s son, Jack joined the company and in 1990, Anne Dixon, Jack’s wife, came onboard. John retired in 1996 at the age of 85. In 2019, Brian Barefoot joined the company to support sales in North Carolina. Jack continues to support South Carolina.
