Plastic scoops are commonly used across various industries, including food, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, chemicals, and pet foods, for measuring and portioning powders, liquids, and granular materials.
Vibratory feeder bowls offer a simple automation solution to optimize the packaging process of scoops in applications like pet food bags, coffee jars, nutraceutical containers, protein powders, and more!
In this application, we’re orienting plastic scoops in a Vibratory Feeder Bowl.
In this short video, the vibratory feeder bowl receives the bulk scoops from the included storage hopper. The feeder bowl singulates and orients the scoops with the opening facing outward and handle side down. The scoops are then discharged from the release mechanism on the inline track.
The system is operating at a requested rate of 35 parts per minute. Typical rates for this type of product in a vibratory bowl range from 20-60 PPM depending on scoop size. And depending on the application, various scoop sizes can be run in the same feeder bowl.
At Hoosier Feeder Company, we specialize in singulating and orienting bulk products, including pharmaceutical caps, automotive clips, raw foods, health and beauty products, and much more.
